Screenprinting is more versatile than traditional printing techniques whwere higher volumes are concerned. The surface does not have to be printed under pressure or heat although drying is normally accomplished via a drying tunnel. Screenprinting inks can be used to work with a variety of materials, such as textiles, ceramics, wood, paper, glass, metal, and plastic. As a result, screenprinting is used in many different industries, including:
- Clothing - workwear
- Textile fabrics - for making up garments
We provide screenprinting of our workwear to print text and logos for our customers from a single colour print to 4 colour process. The advantage of using screen printing comes into its own when higher volumes are required as all you are using is the ink compared to other processes. The process is also quick and can deliver a good quality result. The only thing to be cogniscant of is registration on multiple colour layups where very fine detail is required in the print. However screenprinting is a very cost effective form of print.
All screenprinting processes require screens to made up and these will cost on average £25.00 per colour setup - this is waived for large orders and subsidised for charities.
